On November 6, the 2025 Biological Raw Materials Conference was held in Huadu, Guangzhou, the beauty capital of China, where academicians and experts, took the lead in sharing, representatives of leading enterprises exchanged ideas on development, and more than 400 elites from sectors of "government, industry, academia, research and application" took joint effort to unlock the innovation code of cosmetic biological raw materials, under the theme of "Let Skills Illuminate the Future of Dreams and Cosmetics Glorify the Beauty Capital of China", injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the beauty industry.

In recent years, the Huadu District Party Committee and the District Government, assuming the role as the pioneer of Guangzhou's beauty economy development, have relied on the manufacturing foundation of the Pearl River Delta and the location advantages of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to actively promote the clustering of supporting upstream and downstream enterprises of functional raw materials, safety assessment, and brand incubation, among others, and form a complete cosmetics industry chain consisting of "raw material supply - R&D and design - production - marketing and sales". By the end of September 2025, the cumulative output value of 83 cosmetics manufacturers in Huadu District has set a record of maintaining a year-on-year growth rate of more than 10% for 33 consecutive months. 

According to relevant leaders of Huadu District, the holding of this Conference will accelerate the deep integration of biotechnology and beauty industry, and promote the leapfrog upgrading of "China's beauty capital" from an industrial cluster to a "global beauty innovation source". Huadu District will also continue the deepening of the two-wheel drive mode of "supervision + service", and support the high-quality development of the cosmetics industry with full-cycle and all-round policy guarantees. Relevant leaders of the Guangzhou Municipal Administration for Market Regulation said that biological raw materials were the "core engine" of the upgrading of the cosmetics industry, and it was expected that the Conference might become an incubation platform for innovative achievements, cultivate more internationally competitive technologies and products, and inject new vitality into the development of the industry.

The Alliance is designed to integrate the professional talent pool of universities in the fields of cosmetic raw material research and development, production technology, quality and safety, cosmetic efficacy evaluation, livestreaming e-commerce, legal affairs and public relations, among others to build an online information platform of "cosmetics industry expert talent pool + enterprise needs", and bridge the gaps between "technical resources of universities, enterprise needs, and achievement transformation", helping solve the multi-dimensional dilemma involving "technology, market , and compliance", and giving the enterprises at the front line of the industry the access to the "strongest brain" of universities.
