Centering on such dimensions of regional industrial foundation, policy support system, and characteristic application scenarios, the Management Committee of Huadu Development Zone introduced in detail Huadu's high-quality business environment and development plan for artificial intelligence industry, demonstrating fully Huadu's firm determination to focus on the artificial intelligence field and cultivate and develop new quality productivity.

In the speech session, Dr. Zhou Xi of CloudWalk Technology, Dr. Qian Zhen of Shanghai United Imaging Intelligence, Gu Fei, Director of Zhiyun Technology, and Liu Gaochang of Guosheng Securities shared their insights on cutting-edge topics such as the development trend of intelligent agents, the industrialization path of AI in medical application, the integration of AI and real economy, and the investment trend in the field of artificial intelligence, offering theoretical guidance and practical reference for industrial development. In the roundtable discussion session, representatives of participating enterprises had in-depth discussions with focus on two core topics, "observation of the frontier of artificial intelligence commercialization" and "exploration of the development path of embodied intelligent industry", trying to build a solid bridge for accurate docking and efficient cooperation between enterprise, academia, research and application sectors.

As a strategic and future pillar of Huadu District's "12635" modern industrial system, the artificial intelligence (including embodied intelligence) industry has formed in Huadu a solid foundation for development and displayed distinctive industrial characteristics.

Kambon Group, which has operated in Huadu for 10 years, is deeply engaged in the upgrading and scenario-based application of smart glasses technology. Its Chairman Zhang Zhanjun demonstrated on the spot its latest research and development product that has dual functions, real-time speech recognition and translation, and instant generation of meeting minutes. The group's AI enabled smart glasses for myopia prevention and control of youth can also improve visual habits; and plan has been made for it to expand to smart industry, smart medical care and other fields in the future. Zhang Zhanjun praised Huadu's high-quality business environment and rich innovation resources, and looked forward to deepening industry-university-research institute collaboration with local research institutions, so as to achieve double breakthroughs in technological iteration and industrial project implementation, and to grow together with Huadu.

In terms of platform support, in February this year, Guangzhou Intelligent Equipment and Embodied Intelligent Robot Industry Alliance was established, which was jointly proposed by Huadu District and Guangzhou Industrial Investment Holding Group, and participated by Siasun Robot, Shenzhen Dobot Corp Ltd. and other key enterprises and institutions of the industry. With focus on such key areas as technological innovation, industrial collaboration, talent training, and market expansion, the Alliance aims to deepen government-enterprise-university-research cooperation, accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements, help build and improve the industrial ecosystem, and comprehensively enhances the overall competitiveness of Guangzhou's intelligent equipment industry.

At the same time, in order to promote the digital and intelligent transformation of enterprises in the District, Huadu, joining forces with leading enterprises such as PCI Technology and Huawei, has introduced an innovative model in which "government leads in building the architectures that may be leased by enterprises to promote transformation" and built a new industrialization digital service center in Huadu District, which effectively lowers the threshold of digital transformation for small and medium-sized enterprises, strengthens the confidence of enterprises in transformation and upgrading, and represents an important attempt to use artificial intelligence to empower new industrialization, and what is more, serves as an important driver to promote the new industrialization and industrial digital development of Huadu District.

Gu Fei, director of operations of Zhiyun Technology, said that as a local enterprise rooted in Huadu, the company benefited from Huadu's policy support and ecological cultivation in the fields of digitalization and AI. "Nearly 10 scenario-based AI applications are provided for enterprises, covering the scenarios with the strongest demand from enterprises, such as AI design, AI quality inspection, AI formula, AI-assisted consulting, etc."; looking forward to the first year of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period , Zhiyun Technology will continue its focus on the integration of AI and the real economy, promote the transformation of the manufacturing industry with more AI technology services, and grow and develop together with Huadu.

Pool multi-dimensional strength to accelerate the upgrading of intelligent industries

Huadu District has created a two-wheel-drive policy matrix of "specialization + transformation" for the artificial intelligence (including embodied intelligence) industry. This year, it took the lead in promulgating Guangzhou city's first special policy for embodied intelligent robots, the "Ten Measures of Huadu District on Supporting the Development of the Embodied Intelligent Robot Industry", which takes out real money, "more than 300 million yuan in 3 years" to offer strong support to enterprises in fields from fixed asset investment, to R&D expense subsidies; Simultaneously the District released the "Implementation Rules for Supporting the Digital Development of the Manufacturing Industry in Huadu District", which aims to build a trinity support system consisting of "application, supply, and R&D", and gives special rewards to national digital pilot enterprises, digital solution service providers, and high-quality enterprises in the fields of artificial intelligence, blockchain, and metaverse, injecting strong policy momentum into the high-quality development of the industry.

In terms of construction of carriers, Huadu District has carefully built a bunch of high-quality industrial carriers, with a total area of more than 260,000 square meters, including Zhidu New Quality Productivity Industrial Park, Huadu Lake Digital Economy and Innovation Industrial Park, and Huadu Zhidu New Materials Industrial Park. focusing on leading industries such as robots and artificial intelligence, such carriers provide enterprises with full-chain integrated services from R&D and production to office integration, which helps accelerate the formation of industrial agglomeration effects, and creates a new highland for industrial development.

Huo Zhaohui, general manager of Guangzhou Guanghua Private Equity Fund Management Co., Ltd., said that AI computing power in the upstream and robots in the downstream would serve as better investment opportunities. As a core state-owned assets investment platform of Huadu, the company will in the future promote deeper cooperation with state-owned companies at provincial and municipal levels and market-oriented institutions, increase fundraising efforts, mobilize more social capital to invest in Huadu AI ecology, and help the high-quality development of the industry.
